Note that there may be other variations at the discretion of the host federation. Prospective competitors in a Commonwealth Veterans' event are strongly advised to familiarise themselves with the details provided by the host federation, to ensure they are aware of all exceptions to the standard format.

Commonwealth Veteran Championshps

Commonwealth Veteran Championships are held every four years in conjunction with Commonwealth Open Championships.

The event is a single round of poules followed by a complete DE to provide an overall champion at each weapon.

Age group gold medals are be taken from the final classification, unless organizers have sufficient time, space and resources to run age group championships for the event determined by separate DEs for each age group.

Age Group Championships

An additional Age Group Championship is held every four years in the intervening years.

This event consists of two rounds of poules followed by separate DEs for each age group. There is no overall champion.
