CVFC2020 will not take place on 23 – 26 July 2020.
The priority of the Commonwealth Fencing Federation (CFF) and the Canadian Fencing Federation (CANFF) is the safety and well-being of all fencers, officials and accompanying persons intending to participate in CVFC2020 on 23 – 26 July 2020, in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing restrictions (including a ban on all sporting events) have come into force in Canada and in many other countries. There are also significant restrictions on international air travel. Consequently, CVFC2020 will not take place on 23 – 26 July 2020.
The CVFC2020 Organising Committee (comprising representatives of CFF and CANFF) will meet to discuss the definitive cancellation or possible rescheduling of the event at a future time.
Members will be informed of any relevant decisions as soon as they are made.
